Stonemasons working across Maynooth and the wider commuter belt. Lime-mortar repointing, stone wall repair and new builds, with free site visits and 20+ years' experience.
Maynooth is a university town with a fine cut-stone heritage, from Maynooth Castle to the limestone buildings around St Patrick's College. That older core sits alongside a lot of newer estates, so we get called out for everything from delicate conservation work on period walls to fresh stonework on recently built homes. We handle both with the same care.
We're based in Navan, a short run up the road, and cover Maynooth regularly. Our work leans on traditional methods and lime mortar, which suits the older limestone and cut-stone you'll find around the town centre and college grounds. We're fully insured and happy to call out for a free look before quoting anything.

Alan Bow · Google review"I would like to thank this firm for the stonework on a large project. Both the work and the employees were of the highest quality and did more than expected of them. I would highly recommend this company."
Kimmage Hardware · Google reviewYes. A lot of the older stonework around the college and castle is cut limestone that needs lime mortar, not modern cement. We use traditional repointing methods that let the stone breathe and won't trap damp.
We can. Newer builds around Maynooth often have stone cladding or feature walls, and we source natural stone to match what's already there as closely as possible.
Lime mortar lets older stone walls breathe and move slightly, which is how they were built to work. Cement is harder and traps moisture, which can damage the stone over time. On Maynooth's older limestone, lime is usually the right call.
