We're the stonemasons trusted with the €350,000 restoration of The Wonderful Barn's historic walls, right here in Leixlip. Stone wall repair, lime repointing, render removal and heritage restoration — with free site visits and 20+ years' experience.
Leixlip sits right on the Dublin–Kildare border where the Rye Water meets the Liffey, and it's a town of two halves for stonework. There's the old core — Leixlip Castle, the historic village, the estate walls and, of course, the landmark Wonderful Barn — and then the huge modern growth around it, from housing estates to the big employment campuses. We work across both.
For the older stone, we use traditional methods and lime mortar, which is what Leixlip's period walls and cut stone were built for. For newer homes, we build solid new boundary and feature walls, entrance pillars and natural-stone cladding. We're based in Navan, a straight run over, cover Leixlip regularly, and we're fully insured with a free-site-visit-first approach.

Yes. Leixlip has plenty of older stone — around the village, the castle and the Rye Water — that was built to breathe. We repoint it in lime mortar, not hard cement, so the stone stays sound and damp isn't trapped in the wall.
We can. Alongside the historic core, Leixlip has grown enormously, so we do a lot of new work too — boundary and feature walls, entrance pillars and natural-stone cladding to lift the front of newer homes.
Yes. We strip old pebbledash and hard cement render off houses and walls, then repoint the brick or stone, expose it, or re-render in breathable lime. It's one of our most requested jobs across Kildare and Dublin. More on render removal →
