Who We Are
L&A Building Experts is a stone masonry firm based in Navan, Co Meath, with more than 20 years working with natural stone across the region. We restore and rebuild period stonework and build new walls, fireplaces, entrances and features — from a single collapsed boundary wall to large stonework projects on commercial sites.
We cover every part of natural stone building: structural repairs and rebuilds, lime-mortar repointing, conservation of historic and protected buildings, stone and brick cladding, decorative pillars, and bespoke new stone builds.
Whether it's a delicate restoration on an old farmhouse or a brand-new feature wall, our own stonemasons see the job through from start to finish — matching the stone, the bond and the mortar so the finished work sits right with everything around it.

Meet Arturas
Founder & Master Stone Mason
Arturas Bagvilas founded L&A Building Experts after two decades working hands-on with stone, in both traditional restoration and new build. What began as one stonemason taking on local wall and repair jobs around Meath has grown into a small, experienced team trusted with everything from heritage repointing to large commercial stonework.
His work covers both ends of the trade — the patience of restoring an old lime-built wall or fireplace without losing its character, and the planning and graft of building new stone walls, entrances and features meant to stand for generations.
Over the years he has built a reputation across Meath, Dublin and the surrounding counties for turning up when he says he will, keeping a tidy site, and doing the job right the first time — the kind of reputation that comes almost entirely from word of mouth and repeat customers.
He still works on the tools alongside the team on most jobs, combining traditional methods — lime mortar, dry stone walling and hand-cut detailing — with the practical know-how to handle modern builds and grant-assisted restorations of derelict properties.
