Stonemasons serving Dundalk and the wider Louth border region. From repointing period limestone and brick to building new stone walls, with free site visits.
Dundalk is a large border town with a long stretch of older limestone and brick buildings, from town-centre terraces to outlying farmhouses and boundary walls. A lot of the work we get asked about here is repointing tired or cement-pointed stonework that has started to hold damp. We use lime mortar on older walls so they can breathe properly, which is the right approach for buildings of that age rather than hard modern cement.
Alongside heritage repair, Dundalk has plenty of newer development, so we also build fresh stone walls, entrances and pillars for homes and sites around the town. Whether it is a repair, a rebuild or a brand new feature, we are happy to call out, look at the job in person and talk you through the sensible options. We have over 20 years behind us and are fully insured.

Alan Bow · Google review"I would like to thank this firm for the stonework on a large project. Both the work and the employees were of the highest quality and did more than expected of them. I would highly recommend this company."
Kimmage Hardware · Google reviewYes. Much of Dundalk's older core is limestone and brick that suits lime mortar rather than cement. We repoint and repair this kind of stonework carefully so walls stay breathable and dry.
Older stone walls were built to let moisture move in and out. Hard cement pointing traps damp inside the wall, which can damage stone and cause spalling over time. Lime mortar flexes and breathes, so it protects the stone.
